to the freshly decorated and attractively laid out rooms and the
Sitting room area contains books, comfortable sofas and everything guests
might need to complete their relaxing stay. Wireless Internet
connection is available.

Where to find us
Norregård is in the little hamlet of Illstorp, 5 km from Christinehof Slott, an 18th century castle set in the outstandingly beautiful part of southern Sweden known as Österlen. Norregård is surrounded by the gently undulating farmland and beech woods for which this part of the countryside is so rightly famous.To drive to Illstorp, turn off the Main Road 19 between Tomelilla and Brösarp at Eljaröd and follow the signs for Christinehofs Slott. On arrival at Christinehof, turn right. 5 km along this road lies Illstorp. Norregård farmhouse is on the right hand side, at the northern edge of the village.

of Illstorp, is near the centuries-old castle Christinehofs Slott.

of riverside garden where guests can unwind in the peaceful, unspoiled environment.
About your Hostess
Norregård’s eccentric and flamboyant owner, Gerrie, was born in Ireland and travelled widely before settling in Sweden some years ago. Her many friends know her as a warm, friendly and generous extrovert
who loves to welcome guests to her farmhouse. She works hard to ensure that her guests enjoy their stay at Norregård and is delighted by how many of them want to return, again and again.
Gerrie shares her home with her beloved cats: Stanley,
half Siamese and half Norwegian Forest; Moussan, a Burmese; and Moussan’s offspring
Spats and Squeaks. And not forgetting Conny, Gerrie’s partner, who is a barrister.
Local Activities
Norregård is conveniently placed for fishing, horseback riding, rambling - with designated walking trails to follow - and bicycles can be easily rented. There are lovely gardens to visit and long, unspoiled sandy beaches only ten minutes’ away by car.

The Danish capital, Copenhagen, is not far away, via the world-famous and thrilling
Öresund Bridge, and the ancient University City of Lund, with its Cathedral, restaurants, bars, shops and three lively market squares is only just over half an hour away.
Top class restaurants and attractive bistros can be found in Vitemolla, Kristianstad, Kivik, Skillinge, Simrishamn, Skåne-Tranås (with its irresistible hand-made chocolate atelier) and Ystad, the home of Henning Mankell’s fictional detective Kurt Wallander. These places are also well worth visiting, even if tasting the famous “Taste of Österlen” specialities is not on the menu.
Österlen is famous for its many craft-makers, antique shops, second-hand bookshops and small art galleries and art-lovers can visit artists in their studios to watch them at work and perhaps commission a special piece.
